Fingerprinting

The Waltham Police Department uses digital technology to provide fingerprint service for residents of Waltham only.  Due to the great demand of this service we are unable to accommodate non-Waltham residents.  (Brandeis and Bentley University students should contact their university police who offer this service for free to all students). 

Fingerprints are offered to the public by appointment only. Call (781) 314-3580 weekdays from 7:30AM – 12:00PM to schedule an appointment for fingerprinting. Actual appointments are conducted between 8:00AM – 2:00PM. Call early, appointments fill up fast. The fee is $10.00 per card for residents.  Cash only. Valid government ID required and proof of residency.

Please Note:
Finger Printing appointment are done the day of only. Due to staffing issues we are not always able to accommodate all requests for finger prints. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Waltham businesses may also hire a police officer (when available) to take fingerprints at your place of employment or at the police department during non-business hours. Please call Waltham Police Community Services Division to book an appointment. (On site fingerprinting is ink only. Digital prints can only be done at the police department).
