Glen Circle & Lincoln Terrace Improvements Project

Update 06/14/2023:

Monday 11/6 & Tuesday 11/7– Crews will be reclaiming both roadways.  Each roadway will be completely closed during reclaim work.  It will not just be closed to give crews room to work, it will be impassable for cars until the reclaim work is complete.  Please make sure that you move your cars prior to 7am if you will need to use them throughout the day.  The roadway will be re-opened at the end of the workday. 

Thursday 11/9 is the tentative date for paving.  As with the reclaim work, the roadways will be absolutely closed to vehicles during the workday.  The roadway will be reopened at the end of the workday.  Please keep in mind that any rain we have between now and then can affect the paving crew’s schedule on other jobs and delay them a day or two for our work.  I will email everyone as soon as I hear about any such changes in schedule.

After paving is completed, crews will return to raise catch basin grates to grade and preform miscellaneous clean up work.  To leave the site presentable for the winter.  We will be returning in the Spring to complete final paving which will include the patches on driveways and sidewalks.  Final loam & seed and overall clean up will occur in the spring as well. 

Project Description:

This project will consist of various water, sewer, and drainage improvements to Glen Circle and Lincoln Terrace.  Once all utility improvements have been completed, each roadway will be reclaimed and re-paved.  The City has awarded this project to J.P. Cardillo & Son of Wakefield, MA.  It is anticipated that construction will begin April 2023.  It is anticipated that the roadways will be paved by the Fall of 2023.

Please note that during construction, on-street parking will be limited.  Crews will place “No-Parking” signs each morning ahead of work planned for the following day.  These “No-Parking” signs will be in effect between 7:00am and 5:00pm.  Please adhere to any posted signs to avoid having vehicles towed.

Trash and Recycling pick-up will be held on their normally scheduled days.  There may be times where pick up times will be 7:00am to avoid conflict with construction crews.  Please have trash and recycling out to the curb by 7:00am at the latest on collection days to ensure pick-up.
