Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Notification

Construction activities for the week of April 15, 2024:
• This week, crews continued efforts to complete additional water service connections from the new pipeline to side streets off of Lexington Street. They also focused on water main pipeline installation work near Jack’s Way and at the Lake Street intersection.
o On Thursday afternoon, trenches were paved ahead of the upcoming weekend for vehicular traffic.
• Due to the upcoming Patriots Day holiday, next week crews will work an abbreviated schedule with the detour in place, Tuesday through Thursday, from 7:00AM to 7:00PM, with potential for work on Friday should weather or other impacts cause the schedule to shift.
o Important to note, after 7:00PM each night, southbound traffic will be allowed back onto Lexington Street, but there will be alternating traffic through the work zone just south of Jack’s Way throughout the night until 7:00AM.
o It is expected that this change will be in place until Friday, April 19th at 7:00PM.
• One crew will continue efforts on the water main pipeline installation just south of Jack’s Way.
• The second crew will continue the ongoing water main installation work at the Lake Street intersection.
