Large Appliance Pick-up
The large appliance removal program allows the residents of Waltham to dispose of large appliances (commonly referred to as “white goods”), such as washing machines, clothes dryers, refrigerators, stoves, etc. at no charge. In order to have an appliance removed by the City’s provider, EZ Disposal, a Waltham resident must contact EZ Disposal at or 781-233-2211 to make an appointment. All appliances will be picked up on your regular recycling and trash day.
The appliance must be put out on the sidewalk on the day of the scheduled appointment, by 7:00 am. Refrigerator doors must be removed, and refrigerators and air conditioners must be kept upright. EZ Disposal is responsible for Freon (chlorofluorocarbons) removal from refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers and dehumidifiers in compliance with the Clean Air Act.
