All about yard waste collection & our annual leaf vacuuming program!

Yard waste collection is still ongoing through December! Simply use a paper leaf bag or a barrel (up to 50lbs marked "yard waste") to dispose of leaves, grass, and all other easily raked material. Small twigs & branches less than 2 inches in diameter and less than 3 feet long are okay. No stumps, logs, rocks, or stones. Collection alternates according to your address, which is assigned to either A-Week schedule or B-Week schedule. See more & find your collection schedule here

In addition, the City also provides a Leaf Vacuuming Program, where leaves from each household will be vacuumed one day per year, November - December. The program begins OCTOBER 30TH for residents with a scheduled WEDNESDAY trash & recycling pick-up day.

Simply bring your leaves to your curb before the Monday of your pick-up week & make sure you're not covering any storm drains. No sticks, brush, garden refuse, or other waste - only leaves. Leaves won't necessarily be picked-up on your usual trash & recycling day.

*Make note - The leaf vacuuming program (which now runs on a rotating schedule) should be used to enhance the already established yard waste pick-up program, and not to replace it. This should be used as a secondary option for yard waste. The vacuuming schedule is subject to change/halt due to weather. See our Recycling & Trash brochure for more
