Tomorrow is Earth Day! Here are some ways you can get involved:
New Earth Machine composters are currently available in the Waltham Public Works Department for $25. Composting is the natural process of recycling organic matter, such as leaves and food scraps, into a valuable fertilizer that can enrich soil and plants. It provides a range of environmental benefits, including improving soil health, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, recycling nutrients, and mitigating the impact of droughts. Please contact Recycling at 781-314-3390 to schedule an appointment to pick one up.
Rain barrels are currently available to Waltham residents at a discounted price! Save money, conserve rainwater, and protect a natural resource! Order yours here (must order by May 15th @ 5pm). Pick-Up will be held on Saturday, May 28th from 9-11am.
