Household Hazardous Waste / Register for Minuteman dates!
Waltham residents can bring their household hazardous waste for disposal one weekend date per month, April - November. Bring proof of Waltham residency - license or Waltham bill. You MUST pre-register for collection events. Click HERE to fill out an online registration form.
Registration will END at noon, the Friday before the event date OR if the number of registrations has reached the maximum of 600 cars. If you receive a confirmation email, your registration is confirmed. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL, YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED. Please schedule an alternative date. Resident who do not have proof of registration for the current event date will not be allowed to drop off and will be instructed to register for an alternative date.
2024 Minuteman Events:
Minuteman events will be held at 60 Hartwell Avenue in Lexington, MA from 9am-2pm. There is no direct charge to Waltham residents. Drop-off events will be held on the dates below:

The Minuteman facility is closed December - March. Please dispose of your hazardous products before the end of the season in November. Residents who need to dispose of hazardous products before Minuteman opens in April can set up a private disposal with Clean Harbors (781-380-7121) for a minimum $250 fee.

For a complete list of acceptable and unacceptable items, click here. Old Carbon Monoxide and Smoke detectors can be thrown in your trash once batteries are removed. Empty gas cans, gas grills (with tank removed), and push mowers (with gas drained) can also be thrown in your trash. Call EZ Disposal at 781-233-2211 for larger item pick-up.
