MBTA Bus Route Updates

MBTA Bus Routes: 170,505, 553, 554,556

As of May 1st, 2022, MBTA Bus Routes 170, 505, 553, 554, and 556 will no longer be stopping at their normal bus stops between Pine Street and High Street. These bus routes are being relocated along Maple Street and Crescent Street. This is a permanent change. There are existing bus stops along this route at which the buses will stop.

For southbound buses, the stops are located at:

  • Crescent Street in front of Cronins Landing
  • Crescent Street and Spruce Street
  • 113 Crescent Street

For northbound buses, the stops are located at:

  • Crescent Street and Maple Street
  • Crescent Street and Walnut Street 
  • Crescent Street and Spruce Street
