  • Waltham Fields Community Farm 13th Annual Farm Day 
    Join the farm on Saturday, October 14th from 1-4pm for a free and fun outdoor, family-friendly event. Features hands-on farm activities, demonstrations, live music, pick-your-own carrots, field tours, arts & crafts, kids games & more! See the full details here

  • Waltham Recreation Department's Halloween in the Park event
    Join Waltham Fire, Police, EMS, 911, and the Recreation Department on Saturday, October 28th from 10am-2pm as they celebrate Halloween at Prospect Hill Park! Lots of free fun for the whole family - Costumes are welcome!

  • Waltham YMCA Pumpkin Dash 5K
    Join Waltham YMCA Sunday, October 22nd at 10am for a fun event for the whole family of all levels and ages. Run, jog, walk, ride in a stroller. There is also a costume contest with prizes for the best individual and group costumes. A celebration in the field will be afterwards with activities for all ages. More and register

  • The Western Greenway 5K
    Join Waltham Land Trust for their 5K walk & run benefit event where people of all ages traverse a 5K distance through the Western Greenway. More

  • Free Jeff Jam Kids Halloween Party at Craft Food Halls
    Jeff Jam is a friendly, goofy guy who sings and performs songs for children of all ages. He travels all over Massachusetts, New England, and the world with his acoustic guitar, bringing songs and smiles to children everywhere. Join Craft Food Halls on Sunday, October 29 from 4-5pm for a fun event of music! More

  • Boo-tify Waltham Home Decorating Contest & Tour
    Take a picture of your spook-tacular home and send it to the Recreation Department by Monday, October 23rd! A map will be created for residents to tour of the homes. More

  • Halloween
    How you choose to celebrate Halloween is up to you. The City of Waltham does not designate specific hours for Trick-or-Treating. It is celebrated on Halloween (Tuesday, 10/31), but hours are under the discretion of parents to decide. Check out these helpful safety tips from Massgov to ensure a safe & happy Halloween for all!
