Waltham Public Schools announced the appointment of Mr. Darrell Braggs as the Interim Principal of Waltham High School for the 2

Congratulations! See below for a message from Superintendent Brian Reagan:

"Dear WHS Families,

I am pleased to inform you that I have appointed Darrell Braggs as the Interim Principal of Waltham High School for the 2022-2023 school year. Mr. Braggs has served the high school as an associate principal since 2017 and has been and continues to be committed to Waltham High School and the families it serves.

I am confident that Mr. Braggs’ career as an educator has prepared him well to assume this important new role. Prior to coming to Waltham as a school leader in 2017, Mr. Braggs taught history at Framingham High School for 11 years. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Education from Western New England University, a Masters of Education in History and Education from Framingham State University and a second Masters of Education in Organizational Management from Endicott College. The now vacant Interim Associate Principal position will be posted starting tomorrow. Mr. Braggs will work collaboratively with the high school leadership team to fill this vacancy as soon as possible.

Mr. Braggs will officially begin his new assignment on August 26. He and Ms. Pena will work together to ensure a seamless transition over the next 2 weeks. While there is no question that jumping into this role under these circumstances comes with a unique set of challenges, I am confident that Mr. Braggs has the skills necessary to ensure stability and reset expectations to help ensure success in the year ahead. Please join me in congratulating Mr. Braggs!

Sincerely,
Brian K. Reagan, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools"
