UPDATE: The Massachusetts State 911 Department reports that the issue facing wireless (cell phone) calls has been fixed. All operations have returned to normal. There is no need to call 911 to test your phone. Call 911 to report a Crime, Fire, or Medical Emergency

Due to sporadic wireless (cell phone) 911 service issues, if you need Police, Fire or EMS service, or to report an emergency, we urge you to try 911 first to report your emergencies. If that does not work please use 781-893-3700 or 781-893-1212.

This is a Nationwide issue that the Massachusetts Department of 911 is working on. We’ll advise all when the system returns to normal.
