Testing is scheduled to begin Saturday, June 12, 2021. Applications will be accepted until April 20, 2021. A late fee will be applied to applications filed after April 20^th so candidates are encouraged to apply early.

 

Everything candidates need to know about how to become a Police Officer or State Trooper can be found on our website at MASS.GOV/CivilService.

Your support and familiarity with your community is instrumental in assisting with efforts to promote and provide a qualified and diverse pool of candidates. We are more than willing to partner with you with recruitment efforts and any informational sessions that are held. To assist in this endeavor I have attached an examination announcement for your use which you are welcome to post on your website and social media platforms along with a link to ours. If you are interested in the announcement in a different language just let us know. If you create your own to promote locally for your department we would be more than happy to post it at our end. Do not hesitate to contact me directly or civilservice@mass.gov with any questions.

 

Recruitment and informational sessions prior to the last filing date is integral in reaching the best qualified candidates in your local area. Keeping this in mind, regional sessions may also assist in better outreach and pooled resources. Representatives from our office are more than willing to assist and attend all sessions virtually or in person.
