PLAN AHEAD - A Winter Street & Lincoln Street Utility and Roadway Improvements Project begins TODAY, January 29th in Waltham

This project will consist of installation of a new water main, cleaning and lining existing water mains, and various sewer and drain rehabilitation along Winter Street, Lincoln Street, and Piety Corner Road. The roadway portion of this work will include roadway and sidewalk repaving of Winter Street in its entirety and a portion of Lincoln Street, including new sidewalks from Lexington Street to Winter Street. 

Crews will begin mobilizing equipment to the project area today, Monday, 1/29. They plan on beginning work on the 12” water main for Phase 1 on Tuesday, 1/31. Work is scheduled to begin at the bottom of Lincoln Street Extension (in-between Glenn Circle and Lincoln Terrace). They will work their way towards the intersection with Winter Street as the week progresses. Please note that Lincoln Street will remain open during this work but there will be one lane open with alternating traffic. See the full project details & project maps here.
