On Tues, Governor Baker signed an order to allow cities and towns designated as “lower risk” to enter the second step of Phase 3 of the administration’s reopening plan on Monday, October 5th

Lower risk communities are defined as cities and towns that have not been a “red” community in any of the last three weekly Department of Public Health (DPH) weekly reports. Waltham falls into this lower risk category, as our COVID-19 community level is currently designated as yellow or moderate risk (https://www.mass.gov/info-details/community-level-covid-19-data-reporting)

This order will allow indoor performance venues and certain recreational attractions to reopen, and loosens capacity restrictions for already-open settings like gyms, museums, and libraries.

It’s critical that we all remain vigilant and do our part to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Please continue to wear your masks, wash your hands often, social distance, and stay home when sick!
