Here's an overview of holiday disposal options in Waltham
  • CARDBOARD / BOXES
    All cardboard must be flattened & placed into your recycling carts with the lid fully closed. Large quantities of cardboard can be brought to the residential dumpster at 165 Lexington St. This dumpster is for resident use only.
     
  • STYROFOAM & BUBBLE WRAP
    All Styrofoam & bubble wrap should be placed in your trash.
     
  • ELECTRONICS & APPLIANCES

    No electronics of any kind should be put in your recycling cart. Should you need to dispose of any appliances or electronics such as tv & computer monitors, please call EZ Disposal & Recycling to schedule a pick-up at 781-233-2211. EZ Disposal will pick up your TV & Computer monitors by appointment only on your regularly scheduled pick-up day. Pick ups must be scheduled 24 hours ahead of your pick up day. You can leave a message if necessary. Please make note that the driver does not assist with transport of items to the curb. Items should be placed curbside by 7am. 

  • RIBBONS, BOWS & WRAPPING PAPER
    Please throw any ribbons & bows into your trash barrels. Regular and glossy wrapping paper is recyclable, unless it has non-paper additives like metallic flakes, colored shapes, glitter and plastics. Foil, metallic and heavily laminated wrapping paper should be thrown into your trash barrels.

  • CHRISTMAS TREES

    The City of Waltham provides curbside pick-up of Christmas trees for 3 weeks following Christmas Day. Trees must be placed curbside before January 15th. The City of Waltham will also be providing drop-off locations for residents to place their Christmas trees as a secondary option:

    NIPPER MAHER PARK (65 Dartmouth Street, South St Entrance)
    GRAVERSON PLAYGROUND (16 Pine Vale Rd)
    CORNELIA WARREN FIELD (210 Waverley Oaks Rd)

    Remember to remove all lights, ornaments, plastic bags and stands. No wreaths that contain metal rims. You can call Public Works at 781-314-3855 to report a missed pick-up.
