Heavy rain & dangerous winds are predicted today into Saturday - Make sure you're prepared!

  • It is important to make sure catch basins are clear of debris to avoid any flooding. The debris that is removed should be placed in your trash or in a place where the debris will not get washed back into the street by the rain. Yes, you can call the City to clear them but there are over 3,300 catch basins throughout the City of Waltham and we cannot get to all of them. Should you need assistance, please call 781-314-3855.
  • Always avoid flooded roadways. Drive slowly and do your best to estimate the depth of the water - if it looks too high, turn around. If your vehicle does become trapped in rising water, immediately abandon it for higher ground. Try to open the door or roll down the window to get out of the vehicle. If you are unable to get out safely, call 911 or get the attention of a passerby so that they may call for help.

  • Strong winds are capable of downing trees & power lines. Secure loose items, check flashlight batteries/charge devices & use this directory as needed: http://bit.ly/2ozuyLc.
