Interstate 95 Northbound

Daytime work will occur Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5

WALTHAM – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing temporary lane restrictions on Route 128/ Interstate 95 northbound between exit 27A, Third Avenue, and exit 27B, Totten Pond Road, in Waltham. This work will occur daily from Monday, June 1, to Friday, June 5, between 7:00 a.m., and 3:30 p.m.

These temporary traffic impacts are necessary to allow crews and contractors to safely and effectively begin tree clearing and earth removal as well as construction staging operations at the exit 27A northbound on and off-ramps.

Signs, traffic control devices, and law enforcement details will be used to guide drivers through work zones.

MassDOT encourages drivers to reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone and to allow for extra time through this area.

All work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.

The work is being conducted as part of a private access permit project that is reconstructing the Route 128/ I-95 northbound exit 27A on and off-ramps and collector road between exits 27A and 27B in Waltham.
