Woerd Avenue Landfill Closure and Park Development Project

Purpose:
The City of Waltham is holding a public information meeting on the Woerd Avenue Landfill Closure and Park Development Project (the Project), which involves the capping of the Woerd Avenue landfill, development of open space amenities on the closed landfill, and improvements to the Jack Koutoujian Playground.

The Waltham Planning Department and the City’s engineering consultant will address planned improvements and project schedule. The public is invited to attend to provide feedback and ask questions.
Spanish translation services will be provided for the presentation and to facilitate public questions and discussion.

The project is being funded by the City of Waltham and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
Parking is available in the front and back lots at Government Center, or across the street at the former American Legion. Additional parking is available in the Lexington Street parking deck located across from 25 Lexington St.
