Wastewater testing for Covid-19 was all over the news at the height of the omicron variant surge in January. But what is it? How is it done? And what is it used for? We hear from two scientists, Dr. Newsha Ghaeli at Biobot Analytics and Dr. Jonathan Levy at Boston University School of Public Health, about why wastewater testing is such a valuable tool in tracking Covid-19 cases and how the data can be used by those in the public health field.
