City Of Waltham Giving Tree Program

• Trees may be purchased by any individual or entity in honor of or in memory of a person.
• Tree location and species of trees will be determined by the City’s Tree Warden to best suit each individual Giving Tree.
• Trees will be offered for $250.00 this is the cost of the tree and materials.
• Trees will be 6-10 feet in height (2 inch dia.).  The trees are smaller to allow ease of planting with no heavy equipment and can be planted with a shovel. And enable the program to be affordable and the trees will have the ability to grow to their mature size.
• Trees: The species of trees may vary from year to year based on availability and input from participants.  The list may also expand to offer more varieties as the program progresses.
• Applications for the Giving Tree Program may be obtained at The CPW office, The Mayor’s office or on the city’s website.
• Trees will be planted May – June & Sept - October only.

A CERTIFICATE SIGNED BY MAYOR MCCARTHY WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE DONOR FOR  PARTICIPATION IN THE GIVING TREE PROGRAM

Trees planted will be listed in an “Honor Roll of Trees”, on the city’s website.  There will be two sections.  
Section 1: The donors name and honoree. 
Section 2: Trees planted at locations. 

There will be a yearly Honor Roll Page on the city’s website
