Waltham received a $300,000 MassTrails grant award for the Waltham Wayside Rail Trail!

There were 71 state awards. Waltham tied with Lynn for the 2nd highest grant awards. Thank you to City Planner Catherine Cagle and the Planning Department employees!
The Waltham Wayside Trail Project proposes to build a 2.74 mile paved shared-use path connecting with the existing trail at Edge Hill Rd and extending East to Beaver St. The proposed Waltham Wayside Trail is part of the regional 23-mile Wayside trail and greater statewide MCRT.
