HEADS UP! A project to replace the sewer on Lexington and School Streets is set to begin Monday, June 17th & detours will be in place!

A project to replace the sewer on Lexington and School Streets is set to begin on June 17th, 2019. This project will necessitate the detour of traffic as well as impact the parking at Government Center. Access will be limited to the parking lots and alternate parking is suggested. Parking is available at the Common Street Garage. This project is scheduled to last until September, most likely.

Project Description
This project will include the following:

  • Replacement of the sewer main along School St. between Lexington St. and Common St.
  • Lining of the sewer main along School St. between Common St. and Exchange St.
  • Lining of the sewer main along Lexington St. between School St. and Warren Ave.
  • Replacement of the water main along School St. between Lexington St. and Exhange St.
  • Lining of the water main along Lexington St. between School St. and Pond St.
  • Replacement of various water and sewer services within the project area
