Community Development Block Grant

The Community Development Block Grant is a federal program that provides funding for Waltham and other cities and organizations to help fund public infrastructure projects, social service programs, housing rehabilitation, and other community development activities. Meeting Opportunity! The Planning Department will host a public meeting to release the draft final version of the 2024-2025 CDBG Annual Action Plan and announce funding decisions. This meeting will be on April 10, 2024 at Government Center, 119 School Street Room #6 Waltham, MA 02451 at 10:00AM. A virtual meeting will also be held April 10, 2024 at 2:00PM. The 2022-2023 CDBG Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) is live! Click here to view. This document contains information on program accomplishments and data of a CDBG program year, which is completed at the end of each fiscal year. 

The 2023-2024 CDBG Annual Action Plan: describes Community Development Block grant (CDBG) funded projects that will be undertaken over the course of the upcoming fiscal year (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024) as part of the goals and strategies outlined in the FY21-25 Consolidated Plan.
