The Waltham Police Department uses digital technology to provide digital fingerprint service for citizens of Waltham and individuals who own or are employed by businesses located in Waltham only.
Fingerprints are offered to the public by appointment only. Call (781) 314-3580 weekdays from 7:30AM – 12:00PM to schedule an appointment for fingerprinting. Actual appointments are conducted between 8:00AM – 2:00PM. Call early, appointments fill up fast. The fee is $10.00 per card for residents and $20.00 per card for non-residents who own or are employed in Waltham but do not reside here. Cash only. Valid government ID required and proof of residency or Waltham employment required.
Students of Brandeis and Bentley University will receive Waltham Citizen Rates however, it is recommended that you contact your campus police who in most cases will offer fingerprinting to students free of charge.
Finger Printing is done by appointment only. Appointments are taken the day of only. Due to staffing issues we are not always able to accommodate all requests for finger prints. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Waltham businesses may also hire a police officer (when available) to take fingerprints at your place of employment or at the police department during non-business hours. Please call Waltham Police Community Services Division to book an appointment. (On site fingerprinting is ink only. Digital prints can only be done at the police department).
