The standard policy for use of the Waltham Common has been updated due to COVID-19. Use of the Waltham Common is still permitted by the Mayor’s office. Upon a receipt of a written request, various city departments will review prior to authorization. This includes all areas of the Common and sidewalks, with the exception of the sidewalk on Carter Street. 

Any organization looking to have an event is required to obtain a permit. All Covid-19 precautions must be followed including submitting a safety plan to the Health Department for review and approval.
