Current City of Waltham COVID-19 status - Citywide Mask Advisory now issued!

Citywide Mask Advisory now issued!

On Thursday, May 19th, 2022, the Waltham Board of Health issued a citywide mask advisory due to a surge in positive COVID-19 cases and rising coronavirus levels in regional wastewater. Additionally, as of Friday, May 6th, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) classified Middlesex County's COVID-19 Community Level as High. It is strongly recommended that all residents wear masks when indoors and around others. It is also recommended that all eligible residents be up to date on vaccines and boosters, avoid crowded spaces when possible and get tested for COVID-19 when exhibiting symptoms. If you are at high risk for severe illness, consider taking additional precautions. Face coverings continue to be required in Waltham's hospitals/medical offices until further notice. Any other businesses, institutions or organizations may also enact their own mask requirements.
