Santa parade around Waltham!

Santa Claus is coming to town! Join us for another fun parade around the city on Saturday, November 26th, beginning at 2:00pm (rain date: Sun, Nov. 27th)

You will be able to track Santa’s progress using the Pacer App that we used last year. Stay tuned for a link that will be posted to the City of Waltham & Waltham Fire Twitter accounts the day of the event. 

See attached for a list of the full parade route. Residents are encouraged to utilize the "designated viewing areas" highlighted along the route, however please note that Santa will NOT be stopping at these locations. These are simply spots where families will have ample parking to wait in their warm cars until Santa gets closer to viewing. It is estimated the full route will take about 2 to 2.5 hours to complete.

Following the Santa Parade around Waltham, please join us on the Waltham Common for the City’s Annual Holiday Lighting! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, November 26th. 

The festivities will begin ~4:00pm, with Waltham Show Choir getting everyone in the holiday spirit performing some holiday classics! Hot cocoa will be available as well.

After the Waltham Common is lit up (~5:00pm), there will be a special appearance by Santa! Parents make sure to bring your cameras to take your child’s photo with Santa outside in the gazebo!

Santa’s Mailbox (Provided by the Waltham Women’s Club) will also be set up on the Common for children to leave their letters to Santa during the holiday season. Deadline to submit letters is Sunday, December 18th, to ensure a response from Santa before Christmas. (Be sure to leave a return address on each child’s letter).
