Juneteenth

Event Date:
Saturday, June 19, 2021 (All day)

See here for an official proclamation from Mayor McCarthy, proclaiming Saturday, June 19th, as "Juneteenth Day" in Waltham. Juneteenth, also referred to as "Freedom Day", commemorates the abolition of slavery on June 19, 1865.

Echoing Mayor McCarthy's sentiments, we encourage all in Waltham to become more aware of the significance of this celebration in African-American History, and in the heritage of our nation and city.

* All Municipal parking lots will be free today, Saturday, June 19th.
