5th Generation Waltham Firefighter Completes His Basic Training at State Academy

Waltham Firefighter Jeffrey MacDonald graduated the Massachusetts Fire Academy (MFA) as part of Class #196 on Friday - September 28, 2012. MacDonald completed the MFA Basic Recruit Training Program, which is a 12-week program covering basic firefighting skills and emergency medical response. By successfully completing the program, MacDonald earns his N.F.P.A. Firefighter I/II certification and will join the Waltham Fire Department's front line fire suppression force.
Jeffrey MacDonald is a 5th generation Waltham Firefighter and was pinned during the graduation ceremony by his uncle, Lt. William MacDonald (retired). Firefigther MacDonald will be assigned to Central Station, Fire Suppression Group 2.
