Why is my Water & Sewer Bill so High?

If your water & sewer bill is high, your last bill may have been estimated, you may have used more water than you realize for irrigation in the summer months, or there may be a leak in your home/building.  Contact the Water Billing Office at (781) 314-3810 if you wish to discuss your bill. 

It is the policy of the Water & Sewer Department that all water that passes through the meter will be charged for, whether actually used or wasted.  In some cases, abatements to the bill will be considered.  However, please note that faulty plumbing and/or check valves, tenant willful waste and unexplained high water use will not be considered for abatements. 

The Water Billing Department is happy to furnish all reasonable information regarding water usage; however it cannot assume responsibility for the condition of pipes and fixtures upon private premises through which water passes after leaving the water meter.
