Experience in emergency communications is desirable but not necessary. Any career oriented applicant demonstrating an acceptable skill level will be considered. Persons currently employed at other Public Safety Answering Points or college and university campus police dispatch centers are encouraged to apply. A complete and thorough background check will be performed on any applicants who make it through the initial screening processes of examination and interview. Upon commencement of employment all newly hired employees will undergo a minimum of sixteen weeks training covering C.A.D., A.P.C.O., 9-1-1 APU, E.M.D., and in-house policy and procedures.
