Waltham launches new “Pay by Phone” parking app for all municipal parking lots!

NO COINS? NO PROBLEM! Waltham launches new “Pay by Phone” parking app!

Parking just got a whole lot easier in the City of Waltham. As of today, you will now have the option to pay to park by using your mobile phone! Pay by Phone capability has been installed in all of the City of Waltham Municipal parking lots (http://bit.ly/WalthamParking), for the exception of the Embassy Parking lot. With the app, you’ll be able to make initial payments, extend parking sessions and pay to park multiple cars all from your phone without having to return to the meter (there is a 25 cent service fee to use the app). You can also enable reminders/alerts when your parking is close to ending.

To get started, simply download “Pay by Phone” in the App Store or in Google Play. From here you’ll be prompted to register for an account where you will need to enter your phone number, email address, vehicle(s) license plate # and your valid payment method. Pay by Phone signs (pictured below) have been installed in all of our municipal parking lots, each with a different location #. You will need to enter the location # on the lot sign AND your specific space/stall number in order to begin your initial payment.

*Make note – When using the Pay by phone app, the meters will not change. Parking enforcement officers will look up your license plate number to determine if you have paid. You do not need to put a paid ticket in your window.
