The Waltham Historical Commission consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council.  Its purpose is to work towards the preservation, promotion, and development of the historical assets of the City, including
The Robert Treat Paine Estate.

Meeting Schedule

The Waltham Historical Commission meets from September to June in the Community Room of the Arthur Clark Government Center Building at 7:00 p.m. every 2nd Monday (except holidays, when meetings will be  on the following Tuesday evening).  Agendas will be published by the Daily News Tribune and Channel 8, and everything is posted with the City Clerk's Office.   To schedule a hearing before the Commission, contact the chairperson at least two weeks in advance to be placed on the agenda. Please provide the chairperson with 8 copies of any printed matter two weeks in advance so that the information may be disseminated to the Commission members for review prior to the meeting.
