-A A +A

The members of the department are on call 24 hours a day via an Alpha Pager that notifies them of multiple alarm fires and other emergencies in the City of Waltham. Several of the members are employed within the city and have agreements with employers to leave work and respond to a fire during the day. The others respond, when needed, during evenings, nights and weekends.

In Loving Memory

In the early morning hours of November 18, 2010 Waltham Auxiliary Firefighter Jonathan Lindsay was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on Rt. 128 while heading to his job as an EMT for Cataldo Ambulance Service. Jon had lost control of his motorcycle crashed into the guardrail.

Tragically on the morning of Sunday November 21st, 2010 Jon succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident. While on his way to become a paramedic, Jon saved lives as an EMT. His family continued his legacy by donating his organs so that he could continue to save lives.
