Description:  Food Sorting: Through our Product Recovery program, volunteers are trained to sort and prepare food for pickup.
Special Events: We're looking for a group of enthusiastic people who will help plan, prepare, and execute entertaining and (sometimes) celebrity-packed special events that promote the cause of hunger.
Checkout: Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Responsibilities include assisting member agencies in obtaining food for their programs, counting and weighing commodities, and creating a computer invoice.
Administrative Support: Help is always needed in our Member Services, Volunteer Services, Communications, and Development Departments. Tasks include data entry, helping with mailings, filing, and phone follow-up.

Description:  Every year there are literally thousands of volunteer opportunities for the Walk for Hunger, in the months preceding the walk and on walk day. From painting signs in January and calling previous walkers in March to helping on Walk Day in May, there is something for everyone. We are always looking for help with mailings, copying and other general office work. You can assist the FoodSource Hotline by staffing the phones, fulfilling requests for information, maintaining a database, or completing follow-up calls. We need volunteers to help prepare for various year-round events. Project Bread's development department does fundraising year round to support emergency feeding programs in Massachusetts. Volunteers help track and thank donors and maintain databases and files.
