area and children's
playground. Prospect Hill Park Advocacy Group established in 1993 in
support of protecting the environment. A 10 year
master plan was developed for
PHP in 1998. Capital
projects continue with hopes of constructing a restroom facility in 2010.

Newly constructed sports complex consisting of (4) synthetic multi purpose
field and (2) natural turf softball fields. Fields opened in 2005 and
2006. Fieldhouse building constructed in 2008 and opened in 2009.
Facility includes parking for 250 vehicles and walking loop around perimeter
of fields. Field use schedules are posted on kiosk in front of
Fieldhouse building. Athletic fields used primarily for Waltham High
School athletic teams, Waltham youth sport organizations and Gann Academy.
Facility is opened late March through November. Facility is closed
during the winter season.
Permits are required to use fields
by organized groups
Availability for varying
days and times maybe limited throughout the seasons.

Conservation and Recreation) Veterans Memorial Rink is open Mid September
through Mid April. Ice is utilized Waltham High School , local youth
hockey association, Bentley University, and local adult hockey groups, and
other private organizations. Public Skating and Stick and Puck hours
are scheduled throughout the winter months. |
