Q.  How do I report a pothole?

A.  Call the Street department at 781-314-3855 and give them the location of the pothole.

Q.  How do I report a street light out?

A.  Call the Wires Department @ 781-314-3175 with the location and pole number.

Q.  My trash/recycling was not picked up, what can I do?

A.  Contact the Street department @781-314-3855 with the location of the area that missed pickup.

Q.  I have an appliance that needs to be picked up, what do I do?

A.  Large appliances will be picked up by Capitol Waste Services on your trash and recycling day.  To schedule a pick-up, please contact Capitol Waste at 617-569-1718 or 866-569-1718.  For safety reasons, please remove all doors from large appliances.

Q.  Where do I find a copy of the Recycling/Yard Waste schedule?

A.  The Recycling and Yard Waste schedule can be found on the Recycling Website.

Q.  There is a water leak in front of my house, who do I call?

A.  Contact the Water Department at 781-314-3820.

Q:  I have questions about my water bill, who do I contact?

A.  Contact the Water Billing office at 781-314-3810 with your questions.

Q.  I received a parking ticket that I don't agree with, how can I dispute it?

A.  To appeal a ticket you must fill out a parking appeal form which you can pick up at the Treasurer’s office or on their website.  The form can be forwarded back to the Treasurer’s office included with the ticket and supporting documentation for review within 21 days of receiving the ticket.

Q.  I’m looking for fuel assistance this winter, who can I call?

A.  Please contact 1-800-632-8175 or 781-643-2358 for information on fuel assistance programs.

Q.  I received my excise tax bill and I have questions on it, who do I call?

A.  Call the Assessor's office at 781-314-3200 with questions on the assessment or call the Treasurer's office at 781-314-3250 with questions on the payment.

Q.  I have questions about a tax bill I received, who should I call?

Q.  Where can I get a copy of my birth certificate?

Q.  How do I contact my City Councillor?

Q.  I would like to have an event on Waltham Common, what do I need to do?

A.  All requests for events on the Waltham Common must be put in writing and sent to Mayor McCarthy.  Please include the purpose for the event and all pertinent details.  The requests will be reviewed by the Mayor's office and any other appropriate department.  The Mayor's office will respond to your request in writing.

A.  The Superintendent of Schools makes the decision.  The office number is (781) 314-5400.
